Every woman is either a mom or a future mom.
Like, seriously?

3 movement laboratories. 3 choreographers. 1 director. Up to 15 performers.

Peeping Janes is a performance created through experimentation in three movement laboratories with three choreographers and subsequent staging. The show breaks down the borders between movement theater, contemporary circus and dance while emphasizing unpretentious movement vocabulary. The synergy of genres gives rise to an intimate testimony of eight women – mothers and non-mothers – whom the society is forcing to take a stand on maternity. Their testimony is underscored by a mirror floor and an amorphous, 18-feet-tall rope tunnel for aerial acrobatics.

The audience participates in the authentic situation on stage where the performers’ children aged several months to six years appear stimulating unpredictability and uniqueness of every performance, juxtaposing stereotypical expectations with reality, and magnifying the authenticity of the experience of both the audience and the performers. Not even its authors know what the show is going to look like today.
